Do we NEED to buy expensive products to look our best?

Ladies, I know you are happily on your way to Ulta as we speak but if you can kindly hit the brakes and listen to your bestie Evelina that would be fantastic! I know, I know, if it was up to me I would be joining you. Who doesn’t want to be in that clean, inviting environment with all the pretty displays and smells of modern acceptance and glamour? This is a relatable experience because I was a stylist there and bought all of the pretty, new, shiny things. I want to share that even though it is a pleasurable experience you can still be beautiful and get all the things you want and need…on a budget!

Inflation is not a secret, we hear it everywhere! It comes up on your apple news, fb news feed, on tv, etc. When we go to the store it’s obvious that everything we are buying has gone up in price, at least a little. Why not take care of ourselves in the process and buy less expensive options and stay open to new products? Stop going broke sis! You don’t have to run up a bill. The truth is, the choice is yours and you can be kind to yourself.

So, what can we do? Are our hands tied? Do we have to look our worst because we are living within our means? Hold on while we sell our souls to the dark abyss of unsightly faces and ugliness. Don’t do that! You have options, I promise!

There comes a time in life when we reevaluate where our money goes, what we want out of life, and realize that we have spent a small fortune on going out to eat, things we don’t need and so on. So here are a few things we can do to about it and save our hard earned cash

1. Buy drugstore cosmetics, they are just as good. The research has been done, and more expensive does NOT necessarily = better.
2. Shop at the Dollar Tree. You will be surprised the things they carry in the cosmetics isle. I have seen OPI nail lacquer, wet n wild megawear mascara, elf lipstick, covergirl clean fresh foundation, etc. I have all of the aforementioned and they work great!! They are also highly rated on amazon.
3. Believe it. You can get a deal! You don’t have to drop $200 for a pick me up. Why don’t you try it? TREAT yo’ self, but be smart about it too.
